Pack up all my cares and woes....

I found another suitcase to paint on at one of my favorite resale shops! I couldn't wait to get home! I knew exactly what I was going to do with it. You have probably guessed that Terrye French is one of my favorite artists by now. Her pattern, "Simply Love" was the perfect choice. I painted the background color a gray-blue mix and then distressed and antiqued it to give it that well worn look. I love all the elements of this design, but that wooly sheep has won my heart! And what about Ms. Kitty and her locket? You have got to love a cat that is so well dressed! Wouldn't this be a great place to keep old pictures, music books or vintage linens? Time to look for another suitcase. I already have a plan for it when it comes my way.

I love your paintings. They are all beautiful. I think it would be awesome to have the ability to paint like that. I do not have that ability so I must admire other's talents.

What a beautiful blog you have!! And your crafts are just lovely. I especially love the painted baby shoes. I used to collect baby shoes also, the smaller the better! So nice to know that others love things like that too.
And that recipe for scallops, I copied that down right away, it sounds so delicious. We don't often get them here in Germany, too far from the coast I guess, but I never fail to order sea scallops when I visit NJ every year or so! Yummy!! thanks for dropping by my blog, it is always so nice to see a new face there!

Another totally precious suitcase!
I'm loving the swirly, textured background. You definitely know how to combine elements to their best advantage.

Your painting ability is astounding and quite inspiring. I love to paint, watercolor, acrylics, folk, landscapes, etc.... but just don't seem to find time to do it anymore.
Thank you for coming by to peek at my blog. I will definitely be back to read yours and savor the beauty! Blessings, Penny
